Upgrading from a Nikon D2x to the D3 the following impressed me. The
dynamic range is impressive, and the abbility to extract detail in
shadows is very good. High ISO performance is incredable. Useable to 6400
iso. The Autofocus performance is good but at times I did prefer the
reaction time of the D2x. Skintones and color is good espesialy when
using the D2x profiles. Slight exposure to the right of the scale but at
least it is recoverable. And is better that way especialy when doing
weddings. The blackout time of the mirror when doing action is verry
short and improves AF tracking. The best improvement in this cammera is
defnatly the sensor.
