Mics are tricky things to buy - you don't know what you'll get until you've got it. But I've never been disappointed with the performance of the Sennheiser products I've used.
I once droppped a G1 wireless transmitter pack 20m down into a storm drain and it still worked afterwards.
The mic in this pack is a massive improvement - smaller pickup head, solid windshield and a MUCH better clip than the G1s. The menu interface is still a little tricksy, but you'll find some new features (like the ability to set the sensitivity and output values in-mic).
I've used Sony and Azden wireless solutions in the past - and can't say I'd recommend Azden from this experience - but I can recommend this product.
NOTE - do your research! Check the spectrum allocation in your country and location. US has just re-allocated frequencies for the emergency services, making some wireless mics illegal to use. Make sure you're not sharing the same public spectrum as digital TV broadcasters, too - otherwise you'll struggle to get a clean signal.
