Nice camera bag

A good sized bag for the popular JVC GM HY700, if you take the V-mount battery off. And has the advantage that it complies with airline regulations to fit in overhead lockers. If you shoot and fly a lot - and like to take your camera in the cabin (who doesn't?) then I recommend it. It's also be good for the EX1 and EX3, but I haven't tried them. But first - check with your airline about size and LiMh battery restrictions.

Great Lens

I would enhance the fact that this lens is great in poor lighting. Don't even bother putting on the flash because the lens copes with extremely challenging light-conditions. I tried it outside in minus 27 C and the zoom-ring coped beautiful. All in all it gives you a very good feeling of quality and first of all - great pictures.

I am using this camera in SD broadcasting, where DVCAM is still unmatched. Satisfied with every aspect of this cam, well balanced; no shaky clips even after long period of hand filming, great 20x Zeiss lens, performs well in low light....definitely great value for the price.

Good camera / Bonne caméra

Très bonne caméra, très bon rapport qualité / prix.
Ergonomique et design, elle est magnifique.
Elle est entièrement manuel (pas d'auto-focus sur l'objectif fournis avec), donc ça demande un petit temps d'adaptation pour les novices.
Qualité d'image avec un grain pellicule. Réglée bien comme il faut, elle fait des prouesses. Parfait pour les films de fiction. Un peu moins pour les reportages à cause de l'absence d'auto-focus, ce qui est gênant quand on doit faire des plans sur le vif.
Seul regret je trouve, un grain parfois un peu trop présent dès que la luminosité baisse, pour une caméra professionnelle. Mais ça ne gâche en rien la qualité globale du produit, qui a une image et une ergonomie impeccable.

As I said, great light for low price. Works perfect, but needs bigger battery for 20W light ( 770, or 970 infolithium L series ), otherwise only one 10W light works.

Good Travel Lens

I used this lens in Madikwe, mostly from the back of a game drive vehicle. I found it to be nice and light, the integrated vertical and horisontal paning is works very well, I was supprised by its preformance. Not as sharp as I would haved liked but sharp enough to get the job done. Auto focus is ok. If you are starting out and can not afford a 'L' series lense then this is a good choice. It has the new hybrid 'is' system.

Very Sharp

I use this lens for nature photography and for portraits, pictures are pin sharp. It is a very good lens to have in your bag and if you are a beginer this is a must. Lens is very fast aswell and is a good walk arround lens at just over 700g.

Hard to control

Well - maybe it's me, BUT I find it hard to really make the lens usefull. It has to have a lot of light - talking daytime with lots of sun or you'll have a shaky picture. It has to have a very steady hand or else... yes, the same. It does not focus fast. All in all I'm disapointed with it. Hopefully a IS version would be a lot better.
