I bought this to my HVR-A1E, and think its a very good product.

I bought it together with Kingstone 16GB x133 cards, and it works very good! No problems!

Only thing I did'nt like, was that the CF-cards and the Recorder where shipped in 2 shipments, wich means that I recived the cards 1 week before the recorder came (FedEx was fast, and the other slow)...

But all together, very pleased with GlobalmediaPro

Very, very good choice for that level of price. Easy way of 4 wire measurements without a need of manual corrections - this is, for me, the most important feature of the device.The only thing I dont like is a type of probe cable. it is to stiff and sometimes makes it quite difficult to clip the probes on device under test.

Unimaginable product

I must confess that I never expected that the product will be of a high quality compared to it's price as a starter in professional tripods, but I was overwhelmed on seeing the product, it's great and a good bargain.

Compares very well to mics 6 times the price

I have a collection of mics that range from about $300 to $1,200 each. As a home studio owner, it has taken me many years to build this collection, because quality mics aren't cheap - right?

I have been wanting a pair of large diaphragm condensors to use as drum overheads. I own a single AudioTechnica AT3035 and have been shopping for another to complete a pair for the job. These mics sell for between $260 & $300 and I just couldn't find a good deal on one used.

Then I discover the MCS-5VB here. At the money, it was worth the risk. I had ruled out using some of my more expensive mics as overheads, as the risk of one toppling to the concrete floor were more than I could bear.

This morning they arrived (free delivery - who does that?). I have just spent a couple of hours matching gain levels and comparing this $55 mic with the $290 AT. I can't believe how good these things are! The MCS-5VB has a very slightly higher self-noise, as is reflected in the specifications (15 dBA vs 12 dBA). It also has a slightly lower output, but it compares very well and actually has a lower noise floor than some of my much more expensive mics anyway. It has a more extended bass response than the AT and a slightly brighter top end. But quality wise, this mic easily matches the AT.

If you are looking for a good mid-range condensor mic, you are absolutely stupid to spend more money on something else. I have a pretty good mic collection these days and believe me when I say, this little mic is not out of place against the competition.

So, before you go out and buy a $200 to $300 microphone, pick up one of these - no, pick up two of these, you just can't go wrong.

good light however serious design faults encountered

I purchased one of these to try out as a main interview light for location work. Previous I have been lugging around a fluro bank, which always needs power..This light is fabulous in many respects as it has a very small footprint, is very bright with V mount battery, however it is quite noisy when turned on which is quite strange for LED technology, it sounds like the dimmer assy is buzzing... The dimmer is not variable it drops off quite noticeably , you do not have variable brightness, just a few steps..
The barn doors are a great idea, having a diffuser plus a correction filter as barn door, however the design is flawed as the correction door broke off 2 days into use..
This is a design fault as the plastic mould that holds the doors is not strong enough so this will be an issue for anyone who purchases...
Overall I would give this product 6/10

Good camera. Upgraded from the XH A1 and the workflow is pretty similar. 80 minutes of footage on 32 gig. This took about 19 minutes to upload to my computer. Easy camera to operate. easy to adapt my needs.
Was skeptical to buy the camera from Globalmediapro because of their payment method. Everything went perfectly. Good feedback from globakmediapro throughout the process.
